The extensive in-depth studies will have a single topic industry focus analyzing and summarizing primary and secondary; qualitative and quantitative research. The Quick-turn summaries are short report that either conducts a limited exploration a single employment issue to determine if further research is warranted; or examine and report weekly trends in the local job market.

Interviews

Interviewing employers first hand is a key element of SWIC LMI research. SWIC regularly interviews employers in various energy efficiency, renewable energy generation, and the smart grid market segments to determine the desirable employee job skill needs. Audio recordings, GoToMeeting recordings and transcript summaries are provided.

Events

The SWIC Labor Market Information (LMI) research efforts include primary research collected from symposiums and extensive onsite employer interviews. These result in various kinds of recordings, presentations materials, agendas and summaries of interest to educators and employment coaches.
