SolarNexus Launches Enhanced Functionality

PDF

Berkeley, CA: SolarNexus, the provider of the industry’s only free, web-based business management solution, has launched a new release. Since launching in October 2010, SolarNexus has been living up to its promise of launching new functionality and software enhancements on a regular basis.  SolarNexus is designed specifically for companies that install solar systems or provide related products and services, and these most recent improvements will enable users to complete their projects faster and with less cost.

The December release, the second upgrade since launch, is focused on enhanced usability with several new features.  A user that previewed these changes was able to get from lead entry to a complete, unique, customer-ready proposal in about 5 minutes.
Users of SolarNexus can find detailed release notes and a short video highlighting the changes about the latest upgrade’s specifics on the SolarNexus dashboard. Among the improvements and enhancements that have been made available are:
·         System Templates: Users can define standard system configurations complete with line item costs with re-usable templates. This expedites proposal generation and ensures that all project costs are accounted for by your salespeople.
·         Detailed Cost Breakdowns: When users create bills of materials, they can get a detailed cost breakout of these project costs by cost categories, allowing them to understand how the cost structure varies on different projects.
·         System Configuration Process: A new, guided system has been created to help lead users through the system configuration process.
·         Project / Deal-Flow Filtering: Users can view each of their company’s projects and sort this by project phase and owner.

SolarNexus features a rich set of functionality that allows solar contractors to expedite the installation process via automation, collaboration and guided project management. Offering a single-point of data entry, users can carry information from the solar-specific CRM through the site survey and system configuration phases, and create customized proposals and contracts from templates that make their proposals and contracts unique. With the improvements just released, a contractor can go from lead to customer-ready proposal in about 5 minutes.
SolarNexus provides centralized data storage for documents like quotes, system configurations, contracts, as-built diagrams, permit approvals, Solmetric SunEye data files, and more, and give team members valuable insight into project status.
